Over the years, we have developed public legal education activities designed to fit the learning styles and abilities of different kinds of people. Some people learn best by attending a short law class where they can listen to a volunteer guest speaker and ask questions. Other people prefer more intensive training workshops. And some people — especially students — like live drama where they can watch legal issues played out in a mock courtroom.
Immigrants and members of ethnocultural communities often prefer to learn about the laws of their new country in their own languages through their own ethnic newspapers and radio stations. We do our best to provide a variety of ways so that all British Columbians can learn about their rights and responsibilities under the law.
