Child Support in B.C. - Information for Parents: General information for parents about child support in BC. (February 2007)

Childminding - For Groups: For groups who provide child minding to parents attending group events. Explains who has to be licensed or not. Gives some guidelines for unlicensed childminding. (September 1997)

The Common Law in your Life: A summary of the history of the common law suitable to students and other interested individuals. (March 2002)

Consequences of a Youth Record: Explains some of the problems youth records may cause, how they linger, and what can be done about them. (March 2004)

A Death in Your Family: Explains the practical and legal steps that family members face in the immediate aftermath of the death of a loved one. (January 2007)

Human Trafficking in Canada: This booklet is an introduction to human trafficking and the conditions that can make people vulnerable to being trafficked and exploited. The booklet also describes Canadian laws that apply to human trafficking. (June 2010)

Landlord Guide: This booklet, done in collaboration with TRAC, is an introduction to the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords and explores their relationship as seen through the Residential Tenancy Act and the Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act. (January 2007)

Learning About the Law: Helps teach ESL (English as a Second Language) students about the law in British Columbia. Very simple English is used so that people new to Canada, and learning to read and write English for the first time, will find it easy to understand. Thirteen separate chapters introduce topics such as Renting a Home, Driving, Family Law, and Civil Law. (December 2008)

Learning About the Law: Teacher's Guide: This guide is for teachers using Learning About the Law. It contains activities, exercises, and tests. It also teachs oral skills, written skills, and law-related content. (October 2005)

Legal Help for British Columbians: This booklet, done in collaboration with the Nicola Valley Advocacy Centre and BC Courthouse Libraries, is a guide for non-legal professionals in British Columbia to learn where to direct clients when legal problems occur. (April 2010) 

Power of Attorney: Explains how a Power of Attorney can help you to look after your current and future financial affairs. (December 2002)

Public Legal Education and Information Resource Catalogue: Lists resources including print materials available to the public in BC concerning law-related topics. It is 78 pages long but is well indexed by areas of the law. Anyone providing services to the public in one of these areas should scan it for items of interest. (June 2006)

Scams to Avoid: A list of nine common consumer scams linked to information on how to recognize them, and what to expect. (March 2005)

Tenant Survival Guide: Published by the Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre (TRAC), this guide is intended to give tenants a basic understanding of residential tenancy law in British Columbia. (2008)

Volunteers and the Law: A guide for volunteers, organizations, and boards. (2000)

Working in BC: This booklet is about your rights and responsibilities as an employee, and their protection by a BC's Employment Standards Act. (March 2009)
